Belmont University All-American pitcher Maya Johnson has withdrawn her name from the transfer portal and will return to Belmont for the upcoming season, Softball America was first to report.

Johnson, a left-handed pitcher, was a redshirt junior this past season for the Bruins. She has put together an impressive collegiate career, holding a career 1.63 ERA with a 50-15 record over 458.1 innings pitched, while racking up 757 strikeouts.

Before arriving at Belmont, Johnson began her college journey at Pitt, where she redshirted during her first year.

Her return is a significant boost for Belmont, as Johnson’s dominance in the circle has been a driving force for the program’s success and growth. With one more season to compete, Johnson will look to build on her already outstanding career and continue leading the Bruins on the field.
