Burke Flashing Steady Glove and Contact Bat in Scenic City League

After much consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility left. I am a right handed power hitter and middle infielder. I am so excited to see what the future holds!

Emmorie Burke: Good Upside & Solid

The Scenic City Collegiate League has a few players that are still searching for the next school to call home. I’ve observed and spoken with coaches and managers, and watched a little for myself. One of the players that has stood out to me is Emmorie Burke.

Emmorie Burke is a middle infielder out of UAB with three years of eligibility remaining, and she’s showing some real upside this summer.

Burke is currently playing in the Scenic City Collegiate League in Chattanooga, and I had the chance to watch her over the past couple of days. She may not have much available film from her time at UAB, but watching her live, she immediately stood out.

She can play both shortstop and second base, and does so with confidence. Burke shows strong lateral movement, good glove work, and smooth transitions on throws. She knows how to make the routine plays and can turn a double play when needed.

Defensively this summer, Burke holds a .930 fielding percentage with 27 putouts, 13 assists, and 4 double plays turned across 43 total chances. Today alone, she was perfect in the field, going 1.000 on 7 total chances with 4 putouts, 3 assists, and a double play turned.

At the plate, Burke went 2-for-4 today with two runs scored. Through her Scenic City League action so far, she’s hitting .312 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs, 13 runs scored, and 5 walks in 53 plate appearances. She’s a contact-first hitter who works to get quality at bats and rarely tries to do too much.

I also had the chance to talk to a couple of coaches and league managers, and they see the same thing I do. They believe she’s a solid player and could be a great pickup for a program in need of infield depth and steady production.

Burke is a solid player with real potential. With three years left to play, she’s a great fit for any team looking for reliable infield defense and someone who can set the tone at the plate with consistency and discipline.
