Jada Brown: Named to SEC Community Service Team

There is always more to life than what we do on a daily basis, and this selection highlights that. On Wednesday, February 25, the Southeastern Conference announced the 2025-26 SEC Community Service Team.

Vanderbilt women’s basketball senior Jada Brown made the team as a part of the 16-player team for her first time.

Brown has spent time with young patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and was involved with Stella’s Summit at Vanderbilt University, which is an annual event for female student-athletes focusing on topics such as mental health and professional development. Brown has also spent time volunteering at basketball camps during the season, both in Nashville and while the team was abroad in Paris, France.

With Brown’s selfless nature and team-first mentality, she was also selected as the 2025-26 Kay Yow Servant Leader Award recipient. This award stands for the values of leadership, selflessness, and service, modeling the values of Hall of Fame basketball coach Kay Yow. Brown has worn a Kay Yow Servant Leader patch on her jersey this season.

This season, Jada Brown has appeared in 28 games with a start on Sunday vs. No. 16 Kentucky. Brown usually brings a timely presence off the bench, averaging 18.5 minutes per game, and doesn’t hesitate to provide good defense and a nice three point shot.

Catch Brown and the Commodores Thursday night, as they host the Alabama Crimson Tide for the last regular season home game. The game will stream on SEC Network+ at 6:30 PM CT.
