Vanderbilt to Host Ole Miss on Saturday

With the ongoing effects of Winter Storm Fern taking its toll on Oxford, Miss., the men’s basketball game between Vanderbilt and Ole Miss on Saturday has been relocated to Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.

Tipoff is now set for 5:00 PM CT on Saturday, January 31, with broadcast set for the SEC Network. Tickets are on sale, and the second and third levels of Memorial Gymnasium can be purchased for 50 percent off and start at $10 a seat. Tickets can be purchased at VUCommodores.com.

Vanderbilt and Ole Miss will then shift the second meeting to either Tuesday, March 3, or Wednesday, March 4, in Oxford, Miss., and the tickets that were originally purchased for this Saturday will be honored then as well as parking.

With Ole Miss’ campus shutdown until February 8, their basketball arena has been staged as a warming center for people with power outages in the city.

This is the second Ole Miss and Vanderbilt game to face a change this week, as the women are set to play in Birmingham, Alabama, on Friday at 2:00 PM CT at Legacy Arena. The admission there is free.

My continued thoughts and prayers are with the city of Oxford, the city of Nashville, and all who have been impacted by this winter storm.
