Bailey Lindemuth is Ready

Last softball season saw its share of standout freshmen across the country. From top programs to teams that struggled in 2025, several newcomers left their mark on the field.

One of those players was Bailey Lindemuth, now entering her sophomore year. At Texas Tech, she started all 68 games and showed her all-around ability. Lindemuth batted .305 with five home runs, 32 RBIs, and 29 runs scored. Her efforts earned her a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team and the All-Big 12 Freshman Team.

Lindemuth also proved she could help in the circle. She appeared in three games, finishing with a 2-1 record, a 2.55 ERA, and six strikeouts across 11 innings. Coming out of high school, Extra Inning Softball ranked her as the No. 11 pitcher in the 2024 class, and the talent is still there if needed.

Now she is wearing a different shade of red and black, joining Georgia in Athens. The fit already feels right for Lindemuth, who told me she is very excited to start this new chapter alongside her amazing teammates. She calls it a blessing to be part of the Bulldogs program.

Also stating, “Everything here is very smooth especially with all of the help and resources we have around campus,” said Bailey Lindemuth.

Georgia finished 35-23 last season under head coach Tony Baldwin, going 7-16 in the always-challenging SEC. The Bulldogs capped their year with a Super Regional appearance, taking rival Florida to a decisive game three before falling short. Lindemuth joins a transfer class ranked third nationally by Softball America, one that should push Georgia toward more improvement in the SEC for 2026.

Defensively, Lindemuth anchored third base for Texas Tech, starting 66 games at the hot corner. She recorded 48 putouts, 98 assists, and finished with a .936 fielding percentage. She told me she looks forward to bringing her athleticism to Georgia, something that could make an immediate difference.

That versatility and athleticism will be key whether she plays third or sees time elsewhere. Lindemuth spent the summer putting in extra work, sharpening her game and focusing on improving specific areas to be ready for the season.

“I have been working all summer on getting better at the little things and bringing out more this coming year,” said Lindemuth.

Her dedication and talent make her one of Georgia’s most intriguing newcomers. Her arrival is an exciting one to see, and it will be intriguing to see just how Bailey Lindemuth helps the Bulldogs this coming season.

The Georgia Bulldogs are a team I will be keeping a close eye on this season. With key newcomers and returning players like Jaydyn Goodwin and Sarah Gordon, I expect them to once again be a tough and super competitive group as always.
